And this is noctis. noctis is a dork, a real sweeite, gosh bless him, i wanna be his friend too BUT WE’RE TALKING ABOUT PROMPTO
And this is prompto when he is babie!! (Credit to @dizzymoogle for the screencap) and the thing is he’s a very quiet, nerdy, kinda weird, awkward babie, loves photography and video games and anime and manga. It'svily implied he’s teased or at least ostracized (he’s about 12) by his classmates but he goes to school with Noctis and really wants to be friends with him, or at least other people around him.
After rescuing Luna’s (Noctis’ betrothed in the game) dog, Pryna, she sends Prompto a letter asking him to be Noctis’ friend because Noctis is also a total awkward socially inept dork.
SO he goes to talk to Noct during a break at school but totally embarrasses himself and trips in front of Noctis, who calls him heavy (mean boi >:/) after helping him up, so for the next 3~4 years prompto changes his diet from fast food (his adoptive parents aren’t ever home :( ) to salads and shit and gets super good at running and when he’s 16, he works up the courage to go talk to Noct when they start high school.

Oh btw, without spoiling too much, Prompto’s origins are very dubious, as he is adopted and has a secret he hides on his wrist.
But no those two are thick as thieves and hang out all the time at arcades (often getting scolded by ignis, who is noctis’ advisor, as noctis is a prince, and gladio who is noctis’ body guard)
So when they turn twenty (gladio and iggy are 23 and 22 respectively), they have to go on a road trip to escort noctis to luna and like prompto trained to be one of noctis’ guards and he’s so strong and he worked so hard im so proud of him just look at those arms
Okay anyways so things go p bad, their hometown, insomnia gets destroyed and the road trip was a ruse by noctis’ father to get them out of the city ;-; and during the game prompto is such a sweetie and a happy dork and like?? He takes photos of their journey and it’s sweet and cute. Additionally, he loves cute animals and pets. Remember pryna? She has a brother, umbra and he talks to umbra in the same voice we all talk to cute animals. AND he absolutely LOVES chocobos. There’s a baby black chocobo (a rare chocobo) AND HE DOES THE BABY TALK THING TO IT TOO IT’S SO CUTE.
later in the Games timeline, in his dlc, he like has a breakdown and it’s so sad because he doesn’t like himself and he hurts himself and he talks about how he doesn’t fit in and has imposter syndrome and it’s so sad i just wanna hug him ;-;
ALSO WHEN HE TURNS 30 HE’S SUCH A HOTTIE. STRONGER ARMS, A CUTE GOATEE, AND TIRED EYES AND AUGH. I LOVE HIM SO MUCH HE’S SO PERFECT EVERYTHING I JUST SAID I LOVE SO MUCH ABOUT HIM.
