I think you made a lot of great points about hypocrisy in people. I agree. I also think that you can never escape that part of human culture without isolation. As long as there is a people-connector like Tumblr, Facebook, phones, internet, letters, town meetings, or smoke signals… there will be a mixed bag of actions from us as a whole. Uplifting and tearing down of anyone and everything. We’re not all bad and we’re not all good and… as much as I wish we could ‘start acting like’ we were here to help each other all the time that’s simply not going to happen. It’s just not who we are as humans.
But I do still think you made some very valid points. I think most people need to see that just as a reminder of what being an interminable jerk can do to someone else.

I totally agree with you, his race doesn’t matter and he did a lovely job in his role. I adored it but I can try to explain why some of the trek people are livid.
It’s a change from the past version of Khan and they don’t like it. Plus since Khan is supposed to be of a ‘genetically superior’ race, him being white sends a lot of white supremacy vibes that people don’t care for. Granted I’ve also heard an argument about how having Khan be any other race would actually be counter productive to ‘progress’ since many minority groups are depicted as villains or terrorists in films rather frequently. It’s a touchy subject since he has the whole ‘I am better than you at everything’ characteristic.
Plus people get butthurt over JJ Abrams breathing life into their dead horse.
